As part of the Blue Growth sector in Horizon 2020, Daretech were awarded funding under the SME Instrument to provide a technical, economic and commercial feasibility assessment of the Hi-Gen system - a hybrid power system for marine applications. The work completed under this research seeks to provide an analysis of fuel usage, load profiles and vessel movement patterns of commercial vessels in Europe. Having gained a good understanding of this, technology will be proposed that will aim to reduce the fuel usage and hence the associated costs and emissions for these vessels. We’ve been awarded a Seal of Excellence in 2019.
