Over the past three years, seven partners and over 30 private companies from five European countries have worked together to promote the competitiveness and internationalisation of the shipbuilding sector and its ancillary industry in Portugal, Spain, France, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. The outcomes of the CONSORTEX Interreg Atlantic Area funded project were presented during a virtual wrap up event on the 30th of March 2021.
During the CONSORTEX Final Event, the partnership and SME’s presented some of the main achievements and outcomes of the project.
Speaking at the event, Darren Hayes summed up the benefits the project had on Daretech ‘The CONSORTEX project has put us in front of many like-minded companies throughout Northwest Europe who are also seeking effective collaboration with marine technology companies. We were delighted to have agreed three letters of intent that have been put in place under this project. Through these letters of intent, we have a foundation to build partnerships with 15 companies across 5 different countries. At a time when collaboration is more important than ever, we are very glad to have participated in this project’.
The project was funded through the INTERREG Atlantic Area programme, of almost € 1.3 million, the CONSORTEX project comes for a formal completion in March 2021.
